PSCC MEMBERS GALLERY – KEN LIVERSIDGE

My initial interest in photography dates back to my early youth when my father & I did black & white processing in the family kitchen after dark with the blackouts up. I started off taking photos at Barnet Jazz Club and I still have some prints of jazz musicians. Kenny Ball & Acker Bilk actually purchased some of these in their early careers. This interest fell away once I was married & the family came along.

I was drawn back into photography again after attending an evening class in darkroom technique at St Albans College followed by joining Park Street Camera Club. I set up a wet colour processing darkroom above one of my practices with my business partner and we became interested in colour printing. This stopped when digital photography took off and we attended several day courses at Jessops’ School of Photography and from then onwards I have dabbled in that technology. I now enjoy helping other members & friends with their photographic/computer problems when I can.

I joined PSCC in about 1989 and have held several posts on the committee since then. I enjoy all genre but especially landscape photography and recently I have become very interested in Audio-Visual presentations. This has added a new impetus to my picture taking outlook.
